Coladera crosses 8000 nautical miles in one minute of music, as the tro intermingles Brazilian, Cape Verdean and Iberic melodies to create a present tense dialogue. Above music, Portuguese is the common language, and the intent to resolve historical heritage through music. Band leader Vitor Santana brings a contemporary Brazilian sound, met by  João Pires’s play inspired by fado and flamenco; supported by Cape Verdean  percussion by Miroca Paris.
